Types of Breast Reduction Surgeries

 

There are many types of breast reduction surgeries used to shrink the size of the breasts, but in most cases a breast reduction is done in combination with a mastopexy (breast lift).  A mastopexy is used to lift saggy breasts.

This does not mean a women cannot benefit from liposuction breast reduction alone.  In order for a liposuction breast reduction to succeed, the patient must have tight, elastic skin so the breast are able to shrink to the new size of the breasts, thus leaving the new breasts in good position and visually appealing.

Also the patient should have excellent nipple position and full upper breasts if she wishes to take advantage of liposuction breast reduction surgery alone.  Excellent nipple positioning and full upper breasts are key to a visually appealing chest.
