Los Angeles Breast Reduction

Breast Reduction Recovery

Breast reduction recovery will vary depending on the type of procedure used to reduce the breasts, but we typically find that a woman usually recovers well enough to return to work within seven to ten days.  However this does not mean the patient is finished recovering from her breast reduction procedure.  Your recovery will keep you from physical exercise and any chest trauma for about six weeks.  Please contact our staff if you have any other questions regarding the breast reduction recovery process.

Recovery and Scarring

Scarring will be dictated by the type of procedure used and also the patient.  While there will always be some scarring associated with a breast reduction our surgeons take every measure to minimize the amount of visible scarring.  Our surgeons will perform the breast reduction with the least amount of incisions while keeping the integrity of the procedure intact.  Our surgeons will also suture with great care and use dissolving sutures to minimize the appearance of any scarring.  We will also instruct the patient to use proper post-op care.

There is much to learn about the breast reduction recovery process from how long recovery time is, to post-op care for scarring / healing and breast shape / size after and during your recovery time.

No matter what the breast reduction recovery time or what amount of scarring you many experience, breast reduction surgery is one of the most fulfilling and successful procedures performed today.  The professionals from Marina Plastic Surgery Associates are waiting to make you their next success story!
